NOTE FROM CHUCK
Finally, it’s Christmastime! The tree is up at the Land house and Frank Sinatra is telling me it’s time for mistletoe and holly. It’s also time to get ready for my favorite service of the year, “Christmas in Fort Bend”. Christmas in Fort Bend are the Christmas services at Crossbridge Church happening on Dec 23rd and Dec 24th at 4:00PM & 5:30PM. These, next to Easter, are our largest attended services of the year, and every year God does something in somebody’s life!
This Sunday we will have all the tools you need to invite friends, family, co-workers, that UPS guy that keeps dropping Amazon packages off at your door, your coach, enemies, and even that one guy you think will say “no” to Christmas in Fort Bend. From t-shirts to wear while you do your shopping and errands this season (we are walking billboards!), to invite cards, postcards, yard signs, and even graphics for you to use on your Facebook page (check out the Christmas in Fort Bend website), we are doing everything but putting the words in your mouth! That would be a little awkward. 😊
Just to remind you, and inform those who are new, because of our limited seating capacity we have free tickets for every service, so we don’t have one with like 8 million people and the other with 7. You can get your free ticket at our website www.christmasinfortbend.com. Remember they are free. It’s like a glorified formal RSVP and because every ticket is tied to a seat, don’t just take 37 of them thinking it will be okay (unless of course you have 37 confirmed people coming....in that case, go for it and props to you sir or ma’am). Just take what you really need. We have devised the system so that we won’t be turning anyone away from any service, but people with tickets get their seats first.
So, what are you waiting for? Make the call, send the text, write the e-mail, blast it on social media and tell everybody you can to join us for Christmas in Fort Bend!
See-ya Sunday as we start a brand-new Christmas series “Carols”.
P.S. You should have received a letter from me about Year-End Giving at Crossbridge. Please be praying and asking the Lord what you can give to help Crossbridge finish this year as strong as possible and position us for a great 2019! To give go to crossbridge.cc/give.
