This Sunday is Reformation Sunday, and it is the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. We typically don't make a big deal about church history, but this is a great opportunity to stop and focus on this historic period. More importantly, we'll focus on 5 core convictions of the Christian faith in our new message series "SOLA". If you missed last Sunday, click here and catch-up.
We won't be able to cover everything about the Protestant Reformation in our five-week series so here are some resources that will help you learn more.
Here We Stand by Desiring God Ministries
- A 31- day journey of short biographies on many of the heroes of the Reformation. You can read or listen. They only take about 5-7 minutes to listen to.
The Unquenchable Flame: Discovering the Heart of the Reformation by Michael Reeves
- A concise, fast moving book that will introduce the historic era of the reformation and many of its colorful characters.
Why the Reformation Still Matters by Michael Reeves & Tim Chester
- The authors answer 11 questions about why the Protestant Reformation is still relevant today.
This Sunday we will cover "Faith Alone" or "Sola Fide" and Crossbridge KIDS will be having their "Spark in the Dark" Sunday! It will be a great day and one that we bet a friend would enjoy! So, go ahead and invite!
Remember we have the 8:30 café now, so don't worry about grabbing a bite before heading to church. The coffee, juice and something yummy will be waiting for all of you at the 8:30 service. We are still looking for people to "move for the mission" and are so thankful for the 27 that have indicated they are!
See ya Sunday,
