Hi Everybody!

This Sunday we finish our series “Something Greater: The Life and Times of Elisha”, and I’m so excited about this message.  If you want to prepare, read 2 Kings 6:8-23.  This story is fire, and I can’t wait to preach it!

If you have missed any of our BOLD recap videos, you need to go here and watch them! You will see a little bit about how God has been at work in and through Crossbridge.  If you are a Crossbridge partner or just call Crossbridge your church, then please make every effort to be at our BOLD Celebration Sunday, March 5th.  We will be going full tilt toward celebrating all that God has done and anticipating what He will do.

Over the last few weeks, I have been encouraging those of you on the BOLD journey to finish strong.  Finishing Strong means to the best of your ability, and by God’s grace, to finish the generosity commitment you made two years ago or last year during our “Still BOLD” series.  I’m praying for you, and Kathleen and I are with you in this!

For those of you who have not made a commitment, but have become a part of Crossbridge, I want to encourage you and challenge you that nothing reveals our heart like generosity and there is nothing like generosity to grow us spiritually.  Being generous is essential to being a growing follower of Jesus.  I am asking you to pray and ask God what BOLD gift of generosity you will bring on March 5th for the glory of God and the mission of Jesus.  What we give here will make a difference in Fort Bend, around the world and for eternity!

If you have finished your BOLD commitment, then the question before you is, what step of generosity does God have for you as we finish this chapter?  Generosity is not finished when BOLD is over and BOLD generosity is not finished when the “Bold Initiative” is over!  Will you pray and ask what BOLD gift of generosity you can bring March 5th to end this chapter and set up the next?

If you are going to be out of town March 5th, you can go ahead and give your BOLD gift through our online giving page here.  This is a great way to keep the habit of generosity going even when you can’t be at one of our worship gatherings.

Crossbridge, the best days are ahead of us!  Jesus is advancing the kingdom in Fort Bend and beyond.  We have been invited into His story as He brings His redemptive power to men, women and children that live here.  We will not regret being BOLD in our generosity, but we will regret giving into fear, passivity, and apathy.  We are not BOLD out of guilt, but out of overflow of a heart being changed by the Gospel.

I’m praying for you.

The best is yet to come.
